Blue Christmas Service
The Christmas season, while joyful for many, can also be a time of difficulty and reflection for others. We invite you to join us for our Blue Christmas Service, a special worship gathering designed to provide comfort, peace, and hope for those navigating grief, loss, or hardship.
This contemplative service offers a sacred space to acknowledge pain while embracing the light and promise of God’s presence. All are welcome to attend and find solace in this meaningful time of worship.
Let us come together to seek hope and healing in this holy season.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
You are warmly invited to our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, a cherished tradition at First Presbyterian Church.
Together, we will hear the timeless story of Christ’s birth, sing beloved carols, and share in the moving tradition of lighting candles as a symbol of Christ’s light in the world. This service is a time to celebrate the joy, peace, and hope that the birth of Jesus brings to all.
Gather with us as we welcome Emmanuel—God with us—on this holy night.

EASTER EGG HUNT!!!
Hop on by at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 and join Alicia and the FPC Youth for an egg-citing EASTER EGG HUNT on FPC’s southwest lawn. We just know you will have an egg-cellent time.

Haunted House
We are headed to the Hall of Madness outside of Paris, Il. Tickets are $10-20 a piece.
This event is for Middle and High School Students grades 6-12. Please see Alicia for details and a permission slip. Permission Slips are due back 10/25.
Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk or Treat in the main parking lot of FPC Mattoon.

Pumpkin Patch
Costs: $5 for Adults, $4, Kids 6-12 and Seniors $5, Kids 0-5 Free
Additional Costs for Large Maze, Wagon Rides, Pumpkins, and Food
Can bring a picnic lunch

First LOGOS for the 23/24 School Year
Join us for a multi-generational opportunity to grow closer as a family and as individuals. There is a meal for all as well as multiple age groups that meet individually after dinner.
Youth Group Trip to the Lake
The Youth Group is headed off to Shelbyville Lake. We will meet at the church at 12:00 and arrive back around 5:00. We have room for 9 students to attend. Please see Alicia for the permission slips. There is no cost associated with this trip. Eat lunch before you arrive.
